Mano and Azath to contest under the UNP

DPF Leader Mano Ganeshan and Leader of the Muslim Tamil National Alliance, Azath Sally are to contest at the forthcoming provincial council elections under the UNP banner.
The DPF has decided to contest under the UNP banner in the Central Province and members of the DPF have asked Ganeshan to contest from the Kandy District at the forthcoming election.
The DPF is to field candidates for the Matale and Kandy Districts for the Central Provincial Council election under the UNP.
Sally meanwhile, has also agreed to contest for the Central Provincial Council under the UNP ticket.

A woman who was assaulted by unidentified persons who had jumped into her house along Temple road in the Rathgama area in Galle has now been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The Rathgama Police have arrested two individuals identified as residents of the Dhadella area in Galle in connection to the assault.
The Police state that the assault had taken place due to a dispute in the past among both parties. (Ceylon Today Online)
