Exclusive: Corrupt Interdicted District Judges Reinstated

Aravinda Perera was interdicted for financial misconduct and being in CRIB for not settling series of loans. His interdiction was believed to be one of the reasons for the failed attempts by the President to summon the JSC headed by Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayaka.
District Judge Perera and Matara District Judge Tilina Gamage are close associates of Namal Rajapaksa, the son of the President. District Judge Gamage, is another judge with political connections (and financial allegations) is also transferred as Magistrate Fort, which is a key station, where most of the sensitive cases are heard.
“The massage is clear. Be with the regime, you are fully protected.” a senior President’s Counsel told Colombo Telegraph on condition of anonymity.
