Defence Secretary declare opens new military camps in Jaffna

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa made two days visit to Jaffna declare opened new military camps in the district. Since end of war government together with army announced they have rapidly number of military personals from the Northern Province.

Defence secretary declare open a new military camp at Palali and another camp constructed in the ground of Sinhala Maha Vidiyalaya in Jaffna town. Secretary directly visited the construction sites of military base in the Mathakal and KKS areas and monitored the construction works. During the time of visit Defence Secretary questioned about the needs of military personals in these areas. In a recent media briefing Commander of the Jaffna district announced only 13 thousand military personals remains in the Jaffna peninsula. However day by day military personals have grab lands from people and construct military camps in the district.
