G.L, we need your responses

(Lanka-e-News-2011.Dec.12, 11.50PM) The External Affairs Ministry is highly politicized organization in Sri Lanka. More than 80 percent of Ambassadors and employees at the Sri Lankan Embassies are political appointees. Some of them are whores of some political leaders and others are children of politicians and their henchmen. As a result, today, these Missions have to obtain services of commercial companies to wage a publicity war against the LTTE in the international arena while the political appointees are enjoying life using tax payers’ money. Some of them cannot express themselves clearly in front of people. Others do not know behave decently. Above all, they do not know anything about Sri Lanka.
Sadly, the Ministry has also become a place full of crooks and political henchmen. According to the government rules if a person resigned from a service, he cannot be taken in without following recruitment procedure. Yet, Mr.M.Premathilake, who resigned from the Foreign Service a few years ago, has been taken. He left the Ministry even before he was confirmed in the service. At the same time, Mr.M.R.Keegal, who was dismissed as he submitted a copy of forged document with forged signature of Dr. Kohona. Unfortunately, without proper investigation, he has been taken in through a cabinet paper. This is gross violation of existing rules and regulations.
