Appalling results of religious pursuit when satans and demons are followers (photographs)

http://www.lankaenews.com/English/images/logo.jpg(Lanka-e-News-19.June.2014, 8.30PM) Prior to the recent devastating intrusion of Bodhu Bala Sena (BBS) terrorists into Dharga town, Alutgama at the instigation of SL’s criminal defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse to create mayhem and commit murder , the innocent residents there lived peacefully with a roof above their heads and content within their hearts even though they may have been poor financially. Today , after the appalling violence and wanton destruction wrought by these internationally condemned terrorists , the lives of these people have been shattered physically and mentally instantly.. Pictures herein show how these peace loving people who lived in unpretentious shelters have been thrown out to the streets , and are forced to take shelter in refugee camps.

UNP general secretary Tissa Attanayake , who toured the devastated areas recently told Lanka e news , in just one school in Alutgama named Al Husaniya where he saw a refugee camp is housed among the many , there were about 1500 refugees , and all of them were women and children. Yet there weren’t any police security detail provided by the government for their safety . It is the duty of a responsible government , if it is truly concerned about the victims (its own citizens) regardless of the race or religion they belong to , the first thing it should do is protect the victims of the racial holocaust , and provide them with all the facilities ,he pointed out.

President Mahinda Rajapksa’s Willing Suspension Of Disbelief!

Colombo TelegraphThe phrase “suspension of disbelief” or “willing suspension of disbelief” is defined as follows:
Gota and BBS“The willingness to suspend one’s critical faculties and believe the unbelievable.” Or “sacrifice of realism and logic for the sake of enjoyment.”
This phenomenon usually takes place in a movie theater. We know what we see on the screen of the movie theater is not real. If we believe that what we see is not real then we would not be able to enjoy the movie. Therefore in the movie theater, a special mental phenomenon takes place to enable us to enjoy the movie; that is, the viewer “willingly suspends the disbelief.” This was what we did when we watched the racist and mob like behavior of BBSin recent past; we willingly suspend the disbelief of the actions of BBS and the president might have enjoyed it until the image of the country is tarnished once again after the Black July of 1983, on the 15th Sunday of June. The movie was over; sadly with perish of many lives, mayhem and the destruction of property. Black July was re-orchestrated, in this time it was a Black-Sunday in June that happened under the watch of the President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
In the recent past, especially after the wining of war we, the Sinhalese majority, I think including the President himself, perhaps excluding the Defense Secretary, behaved as we were watching a movie when comes to see the acts of BBS. We willingly suspend our own critical faculties and believe the unbelievable, i.e. BBS was no danger for communal harmony and BBS was playing an important role in the country. Now that behavior cost at least three innocent lives including one baby of a few months old. The country’s image was tarnished as was happened in Black July of 1983. On the black Sunday of June 15th, the war victory was turned around by BBS instigating Sinhalese to attack Muslims; many of the international community would have been convinced that this is not a country for minorities, ethnic or religious.                                             Read More

Wake up and go to sleep: The tale of the two tweeterings

GroundviewsOn the Sunday I am suddenly getting up early in the morning. I am getting the tweetering. I am big fan of the tweetering because it is always reminding me of the birds and I am also very much into the birds. But the Sunday morning tweetering is not coming from bird. It is coming straight from the most venerable and completely blameless Gnanasara. A holy tweet.

Video being hunted to send Anura to gallows!

anura disanayake mathraThe State Intelligence Service is planning to arrest JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake by accusing him of having provoked people during the Aluthgama incident, according to very reliable sources.

At a speech to the Muslim League conference on May 12, he had incited Muslims by telling them to hit back, the government-run ‘Silumina’ claimed in its lead story last Sunday. However, the JVP leader has said that it was a complete falsehood.
Agitated SIS officials had ordered state electronic media to hand over the video containing the lecture in question. However, state electronic media’s response has been that the JVP leader had made no such remark in his lecture.
Thereafter, SIS chief, DIG Wagista has ordered that an investigation be held to ascertain whether he had made such a statement during his recent visit to Britain, especially at his lecture at Eastham in London at the invitation of Muslim organizations of the area.
Since his elevation to the JVP leadership in February, Mr. Dissanayake has been able to secure a considerable public attraction for the party. Mr. Dissanayake stresses that he had made no such remark, adding that the government has launched a mud-slinging campaign against him and his party.
An SIS officer, who has provided us with this information, said further that DIG C.N. Wagista has suddenly woken up from his slumber and started a silly campaign to be in the good books of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, who is due to return tonight from a week-long foreign tour.

Unity Amongst Muslim Politicians, Need Of The Hour

Colombo TelegraphAluthgama MulsimsMuch has been written about what had happened in Aluthgama a few days ago. In short, a personal
altercation involving a driver of monk and two Muslim youth did not cause for the Aluthgama riot. However, such a personal altercation politically and racially exploited by BBS and its thugs metamorphosed into a communal riot between Sinhalese and Muslims, following a rally and protest march going through the Muslim majority area. Much of the discourses on Aluthgama riot pinpoint the fact that irreparable damage caused not only to the innocent lives of Muslims, but to their properties worth millions and billions, places of worship-mosques, and houses could have been thwarted had law enforcement authorities acted swiftly or stymied the protest march held by the BBS marching through the Muslim majority area, chanting slogans against Muslims and inviting troubles. In fact, the speech made by Ven Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero at the rally was full of venom arousing the sentiments of Sinhala Buddhists against the Muslims. It is also reported that the curfew that was enforced to contain the violence had only confined the Muslims indoors while BBS thugs were seen looting and torching the houses and business establishments of Muslims in Aluthgama and Beruwala area. This suggests that the government and law enforcement authorities are complicit in what turned out to be a crisply outrageous pogrom against Muslims in Aluthgama. This point was further proven yesterday as even the most powerful in the country, His Excellency The President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa was not able to utter a word against or for that matter even condemn the actions of the ‘Bodu Bala Sena’ or the vitriolic speech made by its General Secretary Ven Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero at the meeting organised at the Beruwela Divisional Secretary office with the participation of both Buddhist and Muslim religious leaders.                                                                                   Read More
Remember the 'Black July'? Bring all extremist leaders before the law – Intellectuals Artists Journalists appeal
(Lanka-e-News-19.June.2014, 6.30PM) It only brought horror and destruction.
Sri Lankan people don't want another Black July.

The on-going attacks on the Muslim community are deliberately carried out by a small group of extremists.

We should not allow such violence in the name of the Sinhalese and Buddhist people.
Let us not allow another community being harmed in the name of one ethnic community.

We therefore demand:

Let the government prove its commitment to peace and inter-community reconciliation by bringing before the law all extremist groups and their leaders, including Bodu Bala Sena, who spread communal and religious hatred, destroyed peace, and took the law into their own hands.

“ Take Urgent Action To Stop Attacks On Muslims”

The following statement issued by a group of concern citizen of Sri Lanka on the recent attack on Muslim people.

( June 19, 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) We the undersigned Sri Lankans strongly condemn the Bodu Bala Sena’s (BBS) highly inflammatory hate speech against, and brazen physical attacks on the Muslim community in Aluthgama, Beruwala, Welipenna and Dharga-Town in June 2014. We believe that the violence is directly linked to recent statements by the BBS targeting Muslims. We call upon the authorities to immediately conduct independent investigations into the incidents, and hold to account perpetrators and those complicit in such acts. We believe inflammatory statements made by the General Secretary of the BBS, Galagodathera Gnanasara, clearly demonstrates his pivotal role and responsibility for the violence. We therefore call upon the authorities to take immediate steps to arrest and charge him for the deaths and destruction in the area.
Sri Lanka Muslim Minister invites UN special rapporteurs to probe country's situation
Wed, Jun 18, 2014, 11:33 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Lankapage LogoJune 18, Colombo: Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) leader and Minister of Justice Rauf Hakeem has invited the UN special rapporteurs on Minority Issues and Religious Freedom to visit Sri Lanka for an investigation on the ongoing situation in the country.
Addressing a press briefing held in Colombo today, the Minister said that the international community needed to focus its attention on the threats against the minorities.
SLMC today boycotted the parliament as the debate to decide whether the UN probe panel must be allowed in Sri Lanka was underway. SLMC was the only party of the ruling coalition that abstained from voting.
"We have as a parliamentary group decided to boycott parliament today, as a token measure to show our protest for the failure to protect the lives and properties of innocent civilians in Aluthgama, Beruwala and Dharga Town areas," the Minister said.
He blamed the government for its failure to maintain law and order and provide adequate security to the people.
"We simply cannot understand how such large-scale destruction of property could take place, two deaths could occur despite the fact that a curfew was on," the Minister questioned.
Hakeem also protested the police for allowing to ignite the tension among communities.

However, he ruled out that he would step down from his ministerial post in the government since retaining the post would be a strength to the Muslim party.

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader and Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem yesterday demanded that the government take punitive action against those who had been inciting violence against the Muslim community.

An irate Hakeem accused certain members of Buddhist extremist groups of causing chaos in the country. The Minister was participating in the debate on a motion submitted by nine government MPs against a UNHRC investigation into alleged human rights violations in Sri Lanka. The minister said that the Muslim community needed a firm assurance from the government as regards security in the wake of the violence at Alutgama and Beruwela over the past few days.

The SLMC leader insisted that those responsible for recent attacks should be arrested. As Sri Lanka was a signatory to International Convention on Civil and Political Rights which made inflammatory speeches illegal and required prompt action to be taken against those who incited people to violence, the SLMC leader said.

Minister Hakeem said that he was both ‘disillusioned and despaired’ by recent events. The minister said the SLMC was yet to decide on its stand regarding the motion on the UN probe. He said that he had to agree with UNHRC Commissioner Navi Pillay’s assertion that religious intolerance in the country was increasing.

Alutgama mayhem:DEW questions failure to take pre-emptive action

* IGP received letter from Azath Salley warning of violence
* Two drunken monks among 47 arrested

The government's failure to adopt pre-emptive security measures at Alutgama and Beruwala should be thoroughly investigated, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and Senior Minister Dew Gunasekera said yesterday.

Expressing shock and anger over the government's inaction, the senior minister stressed the need to establish the circumstances leading to Sunday's mayhem. Violence claimed the lives of two Muslims and caused injuries to over 80 persons, vast majority of them residents of Alutgama and Beruwela. The police said that the deceased had many cut injuries, though there were no gunshot wounds.

Clashes left seven policemen including an STF sergeant injured. The police commando suffered gunshot injuries.

The police lifted the curfew imposed on Alutgama and Beruwala at 8 a.m. yesterday. It would be re-imposed depending on the situation, they said. A senior police officer said of 47 persons arrested for violating curfew as well as involvement in violence 30 had been remanded pending inquiries, 15 given police bail and two detained for questioning.

Among the arrested were two armed Buddhist monks, the police said. Both had been under the influence of liquor at the time of their arrest on Tuesday night, the police confirmed.

Senior Minister Gunasekera said the actions of some of the extremist elements were essentially terrorist in nature. Referring to a group of activists from Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) storming the Trade and Commerce Ministry in late April this year, Minister Gunasekera said that he couldn't understand why the government had remained silent.

The BBS was even looking for Jathika Bala Sena Secretary, UPFA Mahiyangana Pradeshiya Sabha member, Ven. Watareka Vijitha Thera who, it claimed was hiding in that ministry.

Minister Gunasekera claimed that those supportive of Sri Lanka had come under intense pressure at the last sessions of the Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to abandon Sri Lanka due to violence perpetrated by extremist elements. The ongoing terror campaign had caused an irreparable setback to post-war national reconciliation efforts and brought the government into disrepute, the minister said.

National Unity Alliance (NUA) leader and UNP Central Provincial Councilor Azath S. Salley yesterday told The Island that Alutgama violence could have been prevented if the police had heeded his plea to prevent a gathering of extremists at Alutgama last Sunday. Unfortunately, the police obviously acting at the behest of the government allowed the gathering leading to unprovoked attacks on the Muslim community. Responding to a query, Salley said that having warned Senior DIG Anura Senanayake in charge of the Western Province to prevent the gathering, the situation was brought to the notice of IGP N. K. Illangakoon on Sunday. Asked whether he identified those planning to gather in Alutgama, Salley released a copy of his letter addressed to the IGP in which he accused the BBS as well as Sihala Ravaya of planning to go on the rampage. Salley warned the IGP that the gathering in Alutgama was nothing but a planned attempt to cause mayhem.

Police headquarters acknowledged the IGP had received a letter from Salley warning of an impending attack.

Authoritative security sources told The Island that there had been several other incidents outside Alutgama and Beruwela during the past 24 hours ending 6.00 am yesterday. Action had been taken to thwart several attempts to incite Sinhalese and Muslims to violence, a police officer said, adding that the police and the armed forces remained on a heightened state of alert to meet any eventuality. Among those incidents were throwing petrol bombs and distribution of inflammatory leaflets in Horana, damaging a Buddha statue in Kotiyakumbura and an arson attack on a shop belonging to a Sinhalese at Darga town by another group of Sinhalese. Sources said that a group persons had thrown burning tyres into a mosque and a house in Horana. The police detained four Muslim youth trying to set some tyres ablaze at Pallimunai. Stones were also thrown at two SLTB buses at Saindamarudhu in the Ampara District, damaging them. The police seized petrol bombs and knives from a Buddhist temple and a Muslim shop in Darga town.

Hartal Campaign Countrywide: “Gotabaya Directly Involved In Attacks On Muslims” Says MRO

Colombo TelegraphJune 19, 2014
Several bustling cities in Sri Lanka came to a standstill today with the launch of a hartal campaign countrywide against anti-Muslim violence that erupted on Sunday.
MRO National Organiser M. A. Sharafdeen
MRO National Organiser M. A. Sharafdeen
Organized by the Muslim Rights Organization (MRO), it severely affected the daily activities of several Muslim dominated areas including Kattankudi and Kalmunai. Certain parts in Colombo too were impacted to which includes Pettah, Maligawatte and Maradana.
MRO National Organiser and UNP Municipal Councilor M. A. Sharafdeen said in the next couple of days, they will be organizing similar actions, urging the government to take immediate action to arrest those responsible for the anti-Muslim violence that erupted in Southern Sri Lanka. They are also calling on the government to arrange a prompt and reasonable compensation scheme to those affected by the violence inAluthgama and Beruwala earlier this week.
Hartal“Despite the President’s promise to the residents of Aluthgama yesterday of arresting the responsible culprits, the public has lost faith in his words. We are not afraid to say that his brotherGotabaya is directly involved in these attacks on Muslims. So we wish to see his promises put into action,” Sharafdeen said.
North and East provinces were also said to have been heavily impacted by the Hartal campaign. Among other areas that were impacted were Negombo, Panadura, Ampara, Malwana and Mannar.                      Read More

Sri Lanka was once known as the exotic resort of the Indian Ocean and known to many European tourists as the ‘Nation of Smiling People’. However, recent incidents that took place in Aluthgama and Beruwala(engineered by the government backed yellow goons) gave this nation somewhat more scary monikers and bloodier epithets.
So what really is the problem? The problem is a ‘Nazi‘ one, introducing Aryan myth to a religion that defies racism. Like many Nazis some radical and extremist elements in the country think they are above everything, they are superior to everything and every resource belongs to them. The speech ofGalagodaaththe Gnanasara that triggered violence in Aluthgama reminds me of the ‘Sportsplast‘ Speech of Hitler on September 4, 1940. Hitler squawked before his brainwashed followers:
